Gluten-Free Week Day One: Breakfast Citrus Maple Millet Bowl

We start our gluten-free week with this breakfast bowl!

Citrus Maple Millet Bowl

½ c millet                              1 apple, cored and chopped

1 tsp gluten-free vanilla     2 tbl maple syrup

1 tsp cinnamon                   3 tbl orange juice

Zest of one orange             1 tsp lime zest

2 tbl almonds                       2 tbl walnuts

1 tbl sunflower seeds         5 dates, chopped

¼ c hemp milk                     1 c water

¼ tsp ginger (opt.)

Boil millet and water for ten minutes or until cooked through, which will be double in size. Remove millet from stove top, add vanilla, cinnamon, orange juice, zests and maple syrup, stir to combine. Add nuts and dates. Serve enjoy
